ABOUT ME

My name is Drew McCloy and I am thrilled to be at Quest Academy! I can’t wait to learn, laugh, and grow alongside all of you. It's going to be an amazing school year. 

                                                                                                                  

Hooper, UT has always been home for me. I graduated from Fremont High School, spent 2 years in Upstate New York, and currently live a minute from where I was raised!! I love it here.

Almost 3 years ago, I married my wife and best friend Jada. Together we enjoy traveling and ALL the outdoor activities. Our top spots we’ve visited are several of the National Parks (especially Grand Teton + Banff), Hawaii, the Bahamas, Mexico, Oregon Coast, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. We also make several trips to Idaho throughout the year to fly fish, it's my passion! When I'm not in the classroom, odds are I am knee-deep in a river catching trout. Whether I’m camping under the stars, rock climbing, or taking in mountain views, nature is my happy place.

In my classroom, you are going to MOVE MOUNTAINS!! This means every student will be able to overcome their unique challenges and accomplish things they didn’t think were possible. Together we will learn to persevere and confidently face obstacles head-on, even if the path feels steep. I know you are capable of AMAZING things. My purpose is to help each of you develop the tools and confidence to succeed both in your schooling and throughout your life.

I’m so excited to get to know you and be part of your 5th grade experience! I look forward to working hard and having a blast together. I have a deep love for teaching, and want nothing more than to support you as you reach your goals. Please know I will always listen to your feedback about how I can improve, and do all I can to help you. I hope we can become great friends, here's to a wonderful year!!
